In a strategic move to revolutionize last-mile delivery in India, BikeWo GreenTech Ltd and Commerce Forever have announced a groundbreaking partnership aimed at transforming the logistics landscape across Delhi NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and surrounding regions. The alliance focuses on driving sustainable, electric last-mile delivery operations deep into rural and urban zones of Northern India.
As part of this initiative, the companies plan to deploy up to 2,500 electric two-wheelers, primarily targeting rural delivery partners. This will not only enable affordable, eco-friendly transport solutions but also help in cutting an estimated 547 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually—a significant milestone in India’s journey towards carbon neutrality in mobility.
Beyond the deployment of vehicles, the partnership will establish regional EV training centers focused on operational efficiency, road safety, and battery management. These hubs will serve as skill-building platforms, especially for youth and gig workers in tier-2 and tier-3 towns, ensuring a pipeline of trained EV riders ready to meet the growing logistics demand.
Another key pillar of this collaboration includes joint investment in digital infrastructure, enabling robust tools for rider onboarding, route optimization, fleet tracking, and performance analytics. The introduction of such platforms is expected to enhance fleet efficiency, reduce delivery time, and provide real-time insights into logistics operations.
Moreover, the collaboration aligns with India’s rapidly expanding e-commerce and logistics sector, projected to grow to $6–7 billion by 2027, driven by demand for faster, more sustainable delivery solutions. By integrating clean mobility, tech innovation, and rural upskilling, BikeWo and Commerce Forever aim to set a new benchmark in green logistics.
This initiative also opens doors for job creation, income opportunities, and environmental stewardship across underserved regions—helping bridge the urban-rural divide in India’s EV revolution.
