Batt:RE, EV91 Technologies, and evpe Partner to Deploy 10,000 Electric 2-Wheelers for Last-Mile Logistics

In a significant push toward electrification of last-mile delivery operations, three key players—Batt:RE Electric Mobility, EV91Technologies Pvt Ltd, and evpe—have joined forces to deploy 10,000 electric two-wheelers across major urban centers in India. This strategic collaboration marks a pivotal moment in India’s green mobility movement and is expected to reshape the landscape of electric vehicle (EV) adoption in logistics.

A Multi-Stakeholder Partnership for Sustainable Logistics

Under this partnership:

  • Batt:RE Electric Mobility, an established Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of electric two-wheelers, will supply the EVs.
  • evpe, a leading provider of financing solutions for electric vehicles, will fund the deployment, enabling accessible and affordable financing for fleet expansion.
  • EV91 Technologies Pvt Ltd, a 3PL (third-party logistics) company and logistics fleet aggregator, will utilize these vehicles for its last-mile operations, scaling its electric fleet to cater to the increasing demand for eco-friendly logistics.

₹100 Crore Order Secured

Batt:RE has secured a significant order valued at ₹100 crore as part of this alliance, as confirmed by an official announcement. This deal underscores the growing momentum of the EV industry and the confidence major stakeholders are placing in sustainable transport solutions.

The initiative was facilitated by BizDateUp, a business accelerator and ecosystem enabler that played a key role in aligning the strategic interests of all three parties. Their involvement highlights the growing importance of startups and ecosystem builders in bridging gaps between technology providers, financial institutions, and operational enablers.

Expanding EV Adoption in Last-Mile Delivery

The deployment of 10,000 electric two-wheelers is set to make a substantial impact on urban logistics, reducing both operational costs and carbon emissions. With the last-mile delivery segment witnessing exponential growth driven by e-commerce and hyperlocal services, this move positions EV91 to be a leading player in the green logistics space.

The vehicles from Batt:RE are expected to be well-suited for delivery operations, offering a blend of durability, range, and low maintenance that appeals to logistics operators. Financing support from evpe further removes the entry barriers for logistics companies, many of which face challenges in securing upfront capital for large-scale EV deployment.

Deployment Timeline Awaited

While the partnership has been officially announced, questions remain regarding the timeline and progress of the deployment. The EVreporter team has reached out to the PR representatives of the companies involved to inquire about:

  • The projected timeline for full deployment of the 10,000 vehicles.
  • How many vehicles have been deployed so far.

The article will be updated as and when responses are received.

Driving Toward a Cleaner Future

This partnership signifies more than just a business deal—it’s a concerted move toward a cleaner, more efficient logistics ecosystem. By aligning manufacturing, financing, and fleet operations, the collaboration addresses critical barriers in EV adoption and lays the foundation for similar models in the future.

As the industry watches closely, this initiative could serve as a blueprint for large-scale electrification of last-mile logistics not just in India, but globally.
