Top 5 Most Anticipated Electric Scooters in India – 2025

The electric vehicle market in India is growing at a rapid pace, with several manufacturers gearing up to launch new models. In this article, we bring you the top five upcoming electric scooters that are set to hit Indian roads soon. From established brands like Suzuki and Bajaj to emerging startups like Revot and Ultraviolette, these scooters offer a mix of performance, features, and affordability. Let’s dive into the details.

5. Suzuki e-Access

Suzuki has finally entered the electric scooter segment in India with the launch of the E-Access at the Barb Mobility Expo in January 2025. This marks the company’s first electric scooter in India and is expected to share some design elements with the 2025 petrol version of the Suzuki Access—one of Suzuki’s best-selling models.

Specifications:

  • Motor: 4.1 kW mid-drive motor
  • Top Speed: 71 km/h
  • Torque: 15 Nm
  • Battery: 3.07 kWh LFP fixed battery pack
  • Range: 95 km (IDC)
  • Charging Time:
    • 6.5 hours (standard portable charger)
    • 2 hours (DC fast charger)
  • Brakes: Disc brake at the front, drum brake at the rear
  • Seat Height: 765 mm (suitable for short riders and women)
  • Ground Clearance: 165 mm
  • Color Options: Three dual-tone variants

The expected launch timeline is within the next three months, with an estimated ex-showroom price of ₹90,000 to ₹1,00,000.

4. Revot NX100

Revolt, a Bangalore-based startup, launched its fourth electric scooter, NX100, in October 2023. However, despite its launch, the company has yet to commence deliveries. The last update from the company was in August 2024, and there have been no updates since then regarding production or deliveries.

Variants & Specifications:

  • Classic Variant: 1.9 kWh battery, 100 km range, ₹89,000 (ex-showroom)
  • Pro Variant: 3.8 kWh battery, 200 km range, ₹1.29 lakh (ex-showroom)
  • Max Variant: 5.7 kWh battery, 300 km range, ₹1.59 lakh (ex-showroom)
  • Top Speed: 110 km/h

While the pricing and specifications seem competitive, the lack of updates on deliveries is a major concern. It remains to be seen if Revot will commence deliveries in 2025.

3. Honda QC1:

Honda is making a serious push into the EV space with the QC1 electric scooter, which will be available pan-India—unlike the Activa E, which is limited to only three cities. Some Honda dealerships in Bengaluru have already started receiving stock for this model.

Specifications:

  • Motor: 1.5 kW hub motor
  • Top Speed: 50 km/h
  • Battery: 1.5 kWh fixed battery pack
  • Range: 80 km (IDC), 60-65 km real-world
  • Charging Time: 4.5 hours (0-80%), 6-6.5 hours (full charge)
  • Boot Space: 26 liters
  • Display: 5-inch LCD screen
  • Warranty: 3 years / 50,000 km

The Honda SC e: comes at an ex-showroom price of ₹90,000, with an on-road price of around ₹1,00,000. While Honda’s build quality is decent, many may find the pricing slightly high for the offered features.

2. Ultraviolette Tesseract

Ultraviolette recently launched the Tesseract electric scooter, receiving an overwhelming response with 50,000 bookings within two weeks. This premium electric scooter is packed with high-end features and cutting-edge design.

Specifications & Variants:

  • Base Variant: 3.5 kWh battery, 162 km IDC range, ₹1.45 lakh
  • Mid Variant: 5 kWh battery, 220 km IDC range
  • Top Variant: 6 kWh battery, 261 km IDC range
  • Motor Output: 20 bhp
  • Top Speed: 125 km/h
  • Acceleration: 0-60 km/h in 2.9 seconds
  • Braking: Dual-channel ABS, traction control
  • Smart Features: Front and rear cameras, rear collision assist, haptic feedback on handlebars, wireless charging
  • Fast Charging: 20-80% in 30 minutes

Despite its premium specs, pricing details for the mid and top variants are not yet revealed. While the base variant is priced at ₹1.45 lakh, the top-end variant is expected to be around ₹3.5 to ₹4 lakh. Deliveries are set to begin in Q1 2026, so buyers will have to wait for almost a year.

1. Bajaj Freedom EV

Bajaj is set to launch a budget-friendly electric scooter to compete with Ola and TVS. Recently leaked spy shots indicate that the new model will be smaller than the current Bajaj Chetak electric scooter and feature a BLDC hub motor to cut costs.

Expected Features:

  • Frame: Metal body (likely retained from Chetak)
  • Suspension: Telescopic front, spring-loaded rear
  • Battery: Likely a lower-capacity battery for affordability
  • Expected Price: Below ₹80,000
  • Launch Timeline: Second half of 2025

While some compromises will be made in power, ride quality, and battery capacity, Bajaj is expected to retain its reputation for build quality. The affordable price point will make it a strong contender in the Indian electric scooter market.
