EaseMyTrip’s Subsidiaries Win Madhya Pradesh’s First Inter-City Electric Bus Tender
New Delhi, February 24, 2025 – In a groundbreaking move toward sustainable transportation, EaseMyTrip.com, a leading online travel tech platform, has secured a milestone victory in the public transport sector through its wholly owned subsidiaries, YoloBus and Easy Green Mobility. The company has won Madhya Pradesh’s first-ever inter-city electric bus tender, issued by Sagar City Transport Services Limited (SCTSL).
This historic achievement paves the way for state-of-the-art electric buses to operate in Madhya Pradesh, marking a significant step toward reducing carbon emissions and enhancing the quality of public transportation. The electric buses will be manufactured by Easy Green Mobility and operated by YoloBus, EaseMyTrip’s intercity bus service.
Advancing Sustainable Public Transport
The project will witness the deployment of the first batch of electric buses by August 2025. These buses promise a seamless and green travel experience, backed by advanced technology, energy efficiency, and environmental consciousness.
Mr. Rikant Pittie, CEO and Co-Founder of EaseMyTrip, expressed enthusiasm about the development, emphasizing that the in-house manufacturing of electric buses is a direct response to the growing demand in India.
“The increasing demand for YoloBus services required us to go beyond addressing immediate passenger needs – it became necessary to cater to a fast-growing market. The inter-city electric bus market is expected to reach $391.9 million by 2024, growing at an impressive CAGR of 18.2%. Our move aligns with the government’s P M E-Drive scheme, offering excellent opportunities for sustainable production and fostering a ‘Make-in-India’ ecosystem,” Pittie said.
He also highlighted the launch of Easy Green Mobility, a new subsidiary focused on manufacturing electric buses, with an initial investment of ₹200 crore.

EaseMyTrip’s partnership with SCTSL and the Madhya Pradesh government is set to transform the intercity travel landscape. The company has pledged to introduce world-class electric buses, ensuring a comfortable and environmentally friendly travel experience for passengers.
