BYD Unveils Facelifted Atto 3 Electric SUV with Design and Tech Upgrades

BYD has unveiled the facelifted Atto 3 electric SUV in global markets, introducing a series of design enhancements and technological upgrades to elevate its appeal in the competitive electric vehicle sector.

Design and Exterior Updates

The 2025 BYD Atto 3 showcases a refreshed exterior with several notable changes:

  • Front Fascia: A larger trapezoidal air dam is flanked by slimmer, sportier air intakes, lending the SUV a more dynamic appearance.
  • Rear Enhancements: The rear bumper has been redesigned, and new LED taillights have been introduced, contributing to a modernized look.
  • Wheels: The 18-inch alloy wheels now feature a new design, complementing the overall aesthetic upgrades.

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)

A significant highlight of the facelifted Atto 3 is the introduction of the “God’s Eye C” ADAS system. This advanced system utilizes a combination of multiple cameras and sensors to enhance safety and driving assistance:

  • Camera Array: The system incorporates a three-camera block mounted beneath the windshield, four surround-view cameras, and five long-range cameras.
  • Sensor Suite: It includes five mm-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and a total of 29 sensors strategically placed around the vehicle.

BYD claims that this comprehensive setup supports ten high-speed navigation scenarios and six intelligent parking modes, aiming to provide drivers with a safer and more convenient driving experience.

Interior and Infotainment

While specific details about interior changes are yet to be fully disclosed, the previous model featured a 12.8-inch infotainment system that could rotate between portrait and landscape orientations. It remains to be seen if the facelifted version will introduce a larger touchscreen or additional interior enhancements.

Performance

The facelifted Atto 3 is expected to retain its existing powertrain, featuring a 60.5kWh LFP battery pack. This setup delivers approximately 200 horsepower and 310Nm of torque through a front-mounted electric motor, maintaining the performance standards of its predecessor.

Market Availability

The updated BYD Atto 3 is anticipated to launch in China soon, with subsequent rollouts planned for global markets. Given its popularity in regions like India, an official announcement regarding its availability in these markets is expected in the near future.

With these enhancements, BYD aims to strengthen the Atto 3’s position in the electric SUV market, offering consumers a blend of modern design, advanced technology, and reliable performance.
