An actor and entrepreneur named Suniel Shetty recently brought home his first electric vehicle, the MG Comet EV. A picture of Shetty posing with an electric car finished in black was posted and updated in his Instagram account. This is the most accessible electric vehicle available in the country. It is available in three variants: Pace, Play, and Plush. Depending on the model, the Comet EV is priced between Rs. 7.98 lakh and Rs. 10.63 lakh (ex-showroom).
I found it interesting that Suniel Shetty opted for the Comet EV instead of the ZS EV also available from MG Motor India. It should be noted, however, that its compact proportions make it stand out from other electric vehicles available in the market. In addition, the Comet EV will share the garage with the Land Rover Defender 110, Mercedes-AMG, and BMW X5 vehicles.
With its 17.3 kWh battery pack, the MG Comet EV is capable of a range of 230 kilometers (IDC) on a single charge. In addition to 40 horsepower, the all-electric model also delivers 110Nm of peak torque from the electric motor. The model can be driven quickly within city limits thanks to its electric motor. In addition to being loaded with features, the Comet EV comes with a host of other benefits.
For the instrument panel and infotainment systems, the Comet EV is equipped with twin screens. A host of smart connectivity features are included with the 10.25-inch units, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Furthermore, the model is equipped with a digital key, voice command, and other features. Also included in the feature list are dual front airbags, ABS and EBD, a tire pressure monitoring system (TMPS), and a reverse camera with sensors.
