Earlier this week, Ola Electric’s scooters were spotted at the Buddh International Circuit, in preparation for the MotoGP Bharat 2023 event, which is scheduled to take place from September 22 to 24, 2023. In addition, Loris Capriossi, a world champion and three-time MotoGP world leader, who is also a safety advisor for the upcoming event, was seen riding an Ola electric motorbike on the BIC track. The electric vehicle manufacturer shared several photos on social media of its scooters being tested on the BIC track. As the event’s industrial partner, EV Company is actively involved in the event.
The founder and CEO of Ola Electric, Bhavish Aggarwal, announced today on his social media platforms that Ola Scooters are being used at MotoGP Bharat instead of ICE support vehicles. In addition, he is excited to watch the MotoGP race and showcase the future of motorcycling at the event.
At the upcoming MotoGP Bharat event, Ola Electric will be showcasing a Diamondhead electric motorcycle. The Diamondhead is a superbike concept model that was recently launched by this electric vehicle company on August 15 of this year. This futuristic sports bike is expected to be released within the next few years as part of Ola Electric’s electric scooter line, which was also launched as a concept in August.
The Ola Diamondhead boasts a unique diamond-shaped control panel on its front, which sets the tone for its nomenclature. The dashboard is illuminated by a smooth LED strip, while real LED headlights are located beneath the bike’s beak. This sports bike concept was introduced as a semi-open model. The Ola Diamondhead is a fully electric sports bike that features disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, with an aerodynamically efficient rear wheel cover. Additionally, the front suspension appears to be unlike any other, with a placement almost parallel to the ground. The Ola Diamondhead’s design also includes a sleek LED strip at the rear, serving as its taillight.
Ola Electric is expected to introduce its Cruiser, Roadster, and Adventure Motorcycle models at the event alongside Diamondhead.
