Mahindra XUV400

Sports personalities in the country are always rewarded by Mahindra and Mahindra

Mahindra and Mahindra are always rewarded for their sporting personalities in the country. Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group, regularly attracts attention by providing new Mahindra vehicles to successful people in various fields. In this case, he gave Praggnanandhaa’s parents a new Mahindra XUV400 electric SUV. Praggnanandhaa, India’s youngest chess grandmaster, has recently gained widespread recognition. Anand Mahindra announced the new XUV400 gift for Praggnanandhaa’s parents via a microblogging tweet.

Responding to a tweet from a user suggesting giving Praggnanandhaa a new Thar SUV, Anand Mahindra expressed admiration and respect for the young chess prodigy, praising him for bringing national pride to the field. While acknowledging the idea of coming up with a Thar, he mentioned having another concept in mind.

Anand Mahindra aims to symbolize the influence of parents on introducing chess to children and building a better future, just as trams represent progress in today’s world. This is why he chose to gift the next-generation electric vehicle, the Mahindra XUV400, to Praggnanandhaa and his parents, Shrimati Nagalakshmi and Shri Ramesh Babu. Anand Mahindra’s decision to donate XUV400 to Praggnanandhaa and his parents stemmed from his gratitude for their unwavering support.

In his tweet, Anand Mahindra also tagged Rajesh Jejurikar, CEO and CEO of Mahindra and Mahindra, to share the idea of gifting a new car to Praggnanandhaa. In response, Jejurikar congratulated Praggnanandhaa and his parents, confirmed the decision, and announced that he would deliver the Mahindra XUV400 special edition to the young chess prodigy.

Earlier this year, Mahindra introduced the new XUV400 electric SUV as its first all-electric SUV. Built on the existing XUV300 compact SUV platform, the XUV400 benefits from an extended wheelbase and distinct front and rear configurations that are well-suited to electric vehicle-specific designs. It comes with two battery options: 34.5kWh and 39.4kWh, both with front-wheel drive configurations and electric motors that produce the maximum power of 150hp and a peak torque of 310Nm.

The 34.5 kWh battery pack gives a maximum range of 375 km, while the 39.4 kWh battery pack gives a range of 456 km (both tested on the MIDC cycle). The XUV400 is available in three variants: EC (with a 3.3 kW charger), EC (with a 7.2 kW charger), and EL (with a 7.2 kW charger).
