Mumbai-based electric mobility startup; liger mobility has developed its first electric scooter with Auto Balancing technology. This auto-balancing electric scooter will be available in Two Variants, Liger X and LigerX+. These models have been demonstrated at Auto Expo 2023.
The scooter can remain self-balanced without any support from the rider. Liger mobility co-founder, Vikas Poddar stated that Liger uses AI Algorithms exclusively to shift the center of gravity to make sure that the vehicle stays balanced without any support. This feature is to make riders feel safe and comfortable and convenient and appropriate too. It is also equipped with a digital display which shows the current location of the scooter and Rides history. The base version Liger X is capable to produce a 60kms range on a full charge while the top variant Liger X+, offers a 100kms Range within a single charge.
Liger X can be charged in 3 hours where as Liger X+ can be charged in 4.5 hours. The Self-balancing remains enabled up to 5-7 kmph increasing comfort where as the scooter goes standby mode after 7kmph and comes back again/reactivates at a lower speed. Poddar also stated that they have tested this auto Balancing tech for about 10,000 hours. Liger has been developed Considering the Indian road Conditions.
The world’s first self-balancing electric scooter where there is no need for rider support for stoppage/ Obstruction of this vehicle is going to be one of the key selling points. There are many sensors and systems used so that it can rigidly balance without any support. Still motor capacity and battery capacity are yet to know.
The price of the base variant which offers a 60 km range and can go up to 65 kmph top speed starts from Rs.90,000. This scooter is will be available in five different colours. This scooter is suitable for those persons who are Innovative personal in nature. And those who are not well at driving can able to drive effortlessly and autonomously. This Liger X And Liger X+ are going to launch in the Indian markets later this year.
