Vayve makes the impossible possible: India’s first solar electric vehicle

Vayve dares to think outside the box by launching India’s first solar car. The exciting and innovative product was unveiled at Auto Expo 2023.

Vayve Mobility, an automaker start-up based in Pune, has unveiled A prototype of Eva, the nation’s first solar-powered electric vehicle. Eva’s perfectly functional and comfortable interior provides a pretty enjoyable travel experience.

Solar electric cars have been designed to accommodate two adults and a child. This vehicle is climate-controlled and easily maneuverable.

The Eva is Android Auto/Apple Car Play compatible and features a panoramic sunroof, wide driver visibility, and adjustable seats. On top of a battery pack, the smart car has solar panels on its roof for additional charging.

As the Indian government seeks to reduce pollution and emissions, the clean vehicle was showcased. It has a 6kW liquid-cooled PMSM motor. It is powered by a 14-kWh battery pack and has active liquid cooling. It can be charged in four hours on a standard house socket and in 45 minutes on CCS2. A monocoque chassis is used to build the entire car. Additionally, the EV’s standard safety features include an IP68-certified powertrain and an airbag for the driver. On a single charge, the Eva solar car can cover 250 km.

The price of Vayve Eva’s creative electric vehicle is not yet known. Vehicles will be available on the market in 2024, according to the company. The company revealed color options including Moonstone White, Light Platinum, Rose Coral, Sky Blue, Champagne Gold, and Cherry Red.
