Jeep teased its upcoming compact SUV 4×4
The Jeep has teased its upcoming compact SUV 4Xe powertrain a nomenclature for its hybrids that can be used either for a regular 4X4 compact SUV axle with electric motors or a fully electrically driven axle.
The Jeep compact SUV may use the regular mechanically driven 4X4 system with electric motors added on like the Wrangler 4Xe in the compact size. The compact SUV will be more likely to use a system with one axle being engine-driven and the other fully electrically driven, just like in the Renegade 4Xe.
The Jeep is strengthening the case for the Jeep compact SUV using the Citreon CMP platform. The e-axle two-wheel-drive CMP platform can easily offer 4X4 capability.
In a teaser, we can see the compact SUV gets the silhouette with a small wheelbase and an upright stance with the wheels positioned at extreme ends. We expect the compact SUV may get high ground clearance like Renegade.

Its design is based on Jeep Wrangler Rubicon which has an electric motor that provides up to 273 pound-feet of torque and 285 horsepower. It offers an 800-volt system across four battery packs.
It is equipped with a six-speed manual transmission if we compare it with other electric cars it will have single-speed transmissions. The Magneto concept can accelerate 0-60 mph in 6.8 seconds and delivers 273 lb./ft. of torque.
