Tata HBX EV electric micro SUV to launch in 2022

The French carmaker Citroen to launch Tata HBX EV a micro SUV in 2022 in the Indian market. It has already planned its lineup with C21 sub 4 meter SUV. The company is also planning to launch a low-cost electric vehicle also which is expected to launch in 2022.

It plans to concentrate more on cleaner and greener vehicles in India. The upcoming electric vehicle is the electric version of the CC2 mini SUV which is expected to launch in 2021. The E-CMP platform will have a 50 kWh battery capacity and have a 100 kW motor and can give a range between 310 km and 340 km.

It is also available with a 30kWh battery pack but it will be a little expensive for the car segment it is expecting. The eCC21 is expected to be priced around Rs 8 lakh which will be the most affordable electric vehicles in our market.

Tata Motors had made an announcement that it is launching 4 electric vehicles in 12-18 months. The Tata Motors Chairman N Chandrasekaran said that we will have five electric vehicles in the market in the next 12-18 months. The electric vehicles including Tigor, electric Nexon, electric Altroz a new Tigor and one more vehicle.

The company has the only electric model on sale that is Tigor which gives a range of about 140kms in a full charge. He said that the improvised version of the sedan with other company’s model has the capacity to run for 180-250kms on a full charge.

Tata Motors has in the starting of the year has unveiled its first-ever commercial electric truck, Ultra T.7 Electric at Auto Expo 2020. It is the latest product from the company in the ILCV (intermediate and light commercial vehicle) segment under the world-class vehicle range of Ultra Platform.
