EV charging network ChargePoint partnered with Apple Inc

Electric vehicle charging network ChargePoint has partnered with Apple Inc to integrate a wide range of EV charging information in Apple’s CarPlay infotainment system.

The app helps the drivers to navigate to the nearest charging station and start a session. It also helps to check the speed of the charger, availability and plug type.

ChargePoint to go public at $2.4 bln valuation

One of the world’s oldest and largest electric vehicle charging networks, ChargePoint Inc is merging with Switchback Energy Acquisition Corp in a deal that values the company at $2.4 billion.

The company will be named as ChargePoint Holdings Inc.”The EV charging industry is accelerating and it is expected that charging infrastructure investment will be $190 billion by 2030,” Switchback Chief Executive Scott McNeill said. “We believe (ChargePoint) will continue to grow its strong market position as the EV industry evolves.”

Automobili Pininfarina partners EV charging network ChargePoint

Earlier, Automobili Pininfarina a Luxury electric vehicles brand announced that it has partnered with the world’s largest electric vehicle charging network ChargePoint for its pure-electric supercar Battista. The company had announced a Residenza home charger, a bespoke wall box designed by Pininfarina SpA.

This EV charger is a wall box design and is inspired by the Battista, and is constructed using recycled and organic materials. This partnership with the ChargePoint will provide Battista customers with 5 years of unlimited public charging at no extra cost to make sure they are supported completely.
