Sondors unveils affordable electric mopeds ‘MadMods’
Electric bicycle manufacturer Sondors unveils affordable new electric mopeds, the launcher of Super73-style electric bikes and mopeds launching a line of new electric mopeds known as the Sondors MadMods.

The company had made an announcement that new Sondors MadMods lineup and revealed the specifications for the electric mopeds. The Sondors MadMod e-bikes feature full-suspension frames with a telescopic fork up front and dual rear coil-over shocks in the rear. It looks similar to the Super73 R-Series electric bikes which were unveiled this year but with two rear shocks instead of one.
The Sondors MadMod lineup will start at just $1,499, with a deposit of $299 for booking which will be launched estimated in March 2021. The MadMods will feature 750W rear hub motors and 4 fat tires which fits the general electric moped/mini-bike trend we’re currently witnessing.
Its wheels diameter are the size of 24 but most of the electric mopeds have 4″x20″ wheels. It has a powerful battery capacity of 48V and 21Ah. It has not revealed the range details yet. The company will also offer customisation options.
Recently an Indonesian company, katalis, designed a concept moped named as EV.500. It had been shown in the Indonesia International Motorshow in April but cancelled due to pandemic but it has made its debut online.
The electric vehicle is based on a completely dull moped which sold locally and named as Selis Garuda. The original frame and wing arm have been replaced with aluminium made ones and top to it the metal body is fitted.
There are no modifications to the Garuda’s electric powertrain and the EV.500 is powered by the same tiny assembly that allows a range of almost 35 km (22 miles) and it offers a top speed of 35 kph (22 mph).
