India sold 158 units
The MG Motor has announced that the MG ZS EV has crossed the 3,000 bookings in India. Till now it has managed to sell 158 units of the electric SUV. This electric SUV is currently available in 5 cities such as Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad. The carmaker will, later on, introduce the ZS EV in other cities in a phased manner. The company rolled out its first electric SUV in the Indian market, MG ZS EV with a price tag of Rs 19.88 lakh for the Excite variant and Rs 22.58 lakh for the Exclusive variant. The MG Motor had confirmed that the ZS EV will be sold to the first 1,000 customers at a special introductory price.

If we look at its technical terms-specifications, MG ZS EV is powered by a synchronous motor that gives 141 bhp and produces 353 Nm of peak torque. It is equipped with a 44.5 kWh battery pack which provides a range of 300 km on a single charge. It accelerates 0-100 km/h in 8.5 seconds and it gives a top speed of 140 km/h.

Its lithium-ion battery can be charged up to 80 per cent in 40 minutes with the help of a 50 kW DC charger. It takes seven hours to charge it with a standard 7 kW charger. It is IP67 certified which means it is water and dustproof.
First showroom in Guwahati
Recently, according to a press release, MG Motor India has today announced the grand opening of its first showroom at NH-37 in Guwahati. The carmaker will further strengthen its market presence in the North-East region with two more centres slated to be operational by the end of 2020.
