Chevrolet Bolt EV now with extended Range
With an extended range, the all-electric Chevrolet Bolt EV can now go up to 565 km on a single charge. The Bolt EV is a practical option for environmentally conscious commuters for every day use.
The Bolt EV, which was debuted at the 2017 Dubai International Motor Show, was one of the most awaited vehicles ever. The 2020 version will reach the consumer expectation and attain further acceptance across the Middle East.
Responding to the customer feedback, Chevrolet’s battery technology department, invested in research and development to achieve this enthralling enhancement in the scope. They boosted up the energy of the cell electrodes by making small but impactful changes to the cell chemistry that allows more scope. This productive thinking enabled the team to increase the range without changing the actual physical battery pack and the way it integrates into the structure of the vehicle.
“The Chevrolet Bolt EV, the name itself, is truly driving the future. As we are looking to a smarter, more sustainable future, the 2020 Bolt EV is an integral vehicle that will bring our future of Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions, Zero Congestion to the region”, commented Farah Amhaz, Head of Brand – Chevrolet Middle East.
With a promising range and fun-to-drive features, Chevrolet’s first fully electric car, the Bolt EV is really a game changer in the space of electric vehicle. Since 2018, being on the roads in the UAE, the Bolt EV has changed customer perceptions of electric driving day-by-day.
By the end of 2019, the 2020 Bolt EV will launch in the Middle East in select markets including the UAE, Kuwait, Jordan and Lebanon.
