Yadea C1S Electric Scooter
Chinese electric two-wheeler manufacturer Yadea Group has revealed the C1S electric scooter at the 2019 EICMA. This curvy, retro-looking scooter has been designed by KISKA, the design company which created KTM’s mad machines. The C1S will be launched in European countries such as Germany, France, Holland, Spain in mid-2020.

This electric scooter is powered by an electric motor with a peak output of 6kW and a maximum torque of 138Nm. This motor is linked with a pair of 72V-20 Ah Panasonic lithium-ion batteries, which offer a top speed of 80kmph and a combined range of about 100km. Yadea claims that the battery gets a 1200-charge cycle life and can last up to five years. Using a fast charger, we can charge the two batteries completely in around 5.5 hours.
Remarkable features of this scooter are geo-fencing, app-based connectivity, keyless ignition, self-sensing headlight, anti-theft alarm, parking gear and reverse gear. Besides these, it also comes with vehicle diagnostics and Eco mode to extract more range.
The other specifications of this scooter include telescopic fork up front and a pair of shock absorbers at the rear, brakes include disc on both ends with CBS as an option and the impressive 25 litres under-seat storage, which should be enough for most scooter users.
With the current electric vehicle movement gaining momentum in India, we wouldn’t be surprised if Yadea Group announces its entry into the Indian market in the coming future. Because the perception towards China-made products is slowly changing in the country, at least when it comes to premium electric vehicles. In association with KISKA, we hope Yadea will make a strong impact in Indian market too, just like CFMoto did. If the C1S comes to India, it will definitely be a good rival to the Ather 450 and the Okinawa i-Praise.
