200 PMI Electric Buses Flagged Off by Hon’ble Prime Minister on World Environment Day Green Mobility Takes a Giant Leap with a Tribute to Mother Earth
In a landmark moment for sustainable mobility in India, PMI Electro Mobility proudly witnessed the flagging off of 200 state-of-the-art electric DEVi buses by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on the occasion of World Environment Day 2025 . These zero-emission buses are now set to redefine urban transport across Delhi, aligning with the nation’s ambitious vision for a Green Viksit Bharat .
More than just a fleet rollout, the moment symbolized the fusion of innovation, environmental responsibility, and heartfelt tribute. To commemorate this occasion, PMI launched a thoughtful campaign titled the “Green Routes Initiative.” As part of this, 10,000 seed cards were distributed to citizens—each card embedded with basil and wildflower seeds , encouraging Delhiites to plant their own tribute in support of the Prime Minister’s “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign .
“These little seed cards,” the company said, “are not just tokens—they are cards of hope , each holding the potential to bloom into green tributes to Mother Earth.” Every card handed to a commuter riding an electric bus becomes a part of a larger promise: a cleaner, greener, and healthier future.
The DEVi electric buses launched are equipped with modern features designed for comfort, accessibility, and sustainability, marking a significant step towards reducing the carbon footprint of urban transport . As they glide through the streets of Delhi, they carry more than passengers—they carry a vision.
