14th Formula Hybrid & Electric Racing Event is going to held from April 29, 2019-May 2, 2019 at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, U.S. Twenty college teams from Canada, India and across the U.S. will participate in the event.

Before the racing, the vehicles which will be 8 hybrid and 12 electric vehicles will have to pass technical and safety inspections for the event which is sort of like first robotics crossed with NASCAR.

Thayer School Of Engineering at Dartmouth

It is founded and run by Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth since 2006, the event happens every year in spring in Loudan, NH.

Part Of Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE)

The competition is the part of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Collegiate Design Series and is an interdisciplinary design and engineering challenge for the undergraduate and graduate students of the university.

Competitor Must Design And Build Formula-Style Hybrid or Electric Racecar Only

This sounds interesting, the hybrid or electric vehicle used in the race should be designed and built a formula-style hybrid or electric racecar only and compete in the event.

Focuses On Drivetrain Innovation & Fuel Efficiency

This racing event focuses mainly on the drivetrain innovation and fuel efficiency in a high-performance application.

The hybrid drivetrain is a great challenge, engineers work together across boundaries making it a success.

Engineering a hybrid provides the students to innovate across the mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering disciplines and expertise them.

The engineering companies and several world’s major automotive manufacturers support Formula Hybrid because if the high quality of engineers.

These companies will also present in the event (competition) to recruit the team members for the top-level engineering positions. Which will help the students to make their careers at ground level.
