India’s electric mobility transition continues to gain momentum with two major infrastructure milestones: IONAGE has partnered with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) to install over 5,000 electric vehicle (EV) chargers nationwide, while CHARGE+ZONE has unveiled India’s largest EV charging hub in Bengaluru, capable of accommodating 210 vehicles at once.
🔋 IONAGE and HPCL: Building a National EV Charging Network IONAGE, a tech-enabled EV charging solutions provider, has entered a strategic collaboration with HPCL to create a robust and accessible EV charging network across India. The project involves deploying more than 5,000 EV chargers across HPCL’s extensive network of fuel stations, covering both highways and urban regions.
This initiative aims to provide fast, reliable, and digitally accessible charging options for all categories of EVs—two-wheelers, three-wheelers, passenger cars, and commercial vehicles. These chargers will be cloud-connected, GPS-enabled, and integrated with the IONAGE mobile app, allowing users to locate, book, and pay for charging services easily.
“Our mission is to power India’s electric future with smart, scalable charging infrastructure,” said an IONAGE spokesperson. “Partnering with HPCL gives us the reach and reliability needed to serve millions of EV users nationwide.”
This collaboration supports India’s broader clean mobility goals and is expected to significantly reduce range anxiety for EV users, especially in remote and highway locations.
In another landmark development, CHARGE+ZONE has inaugurated India’s largest public EV charging superhub in Whitefield, Bengaluru —a region known for its booming tech ecosystem and high EV adoption rates.
The facility offers 210 charging points , including a mix of ultra-fast DC chargers and Level 2 AC chargers. Designed for round-the-clock operation, the hub can serve private EV owners, commercial fleets, ride-hailing services, and electric buses . It’s built on a smart energy management platform and incorporates solar integration, EV fleet scheduling, and AI-driven usage optimization.
“This mega hub is a reflection of our commitment to building the most reliable and accessible charging infrastructure in India,” said Kartikey Hariyani, CEO of CHARGE+ZONE. “Bengaluru is a strategic location, and this hub will cater to the growing demand for sustainable transportation.”
This superhub not only enhances convenience for urban EV users but also sets a benchmark for future-ready, large-scale EV infrastructure development in the country.
