India’s 3-Wheeler Goods EV Market Records 2,425 Unit Sales in May 2025 — Mahindra Leads the Pack
India’s electric vehicle (EV) transition continues to gain traction in the light commercial segment, with the three-wheeler (3W) goods EV market reporting a total of 2,425 unit sales in May 2025, according to Vahan Dashboard data (as of June 2, excluding Telangana).
Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Retains Market Leadership
Mahindra Last Mile Mobility emerged as the clear market leader with 555 units sold, capturing 22.88% of the total sales. The company’s strong performance reflects its continued dominance in the electric cargo three-wheeler space, bolstered by its wide network and reliable EV platforms tailored for last-mile delivery.
Bajaj Auto and Omega Seiki Mobility Follow Closely
Bajaj Auto clinched the second position with 421 units, translating to 17.36% market share. Its consistent investment in sustainable urban freight solutions appears to be paying off. Not far behind is Omega Seiki Mobility, which registered 330 units and held a 13.60% share, showcasing its increasing acceptance among fleet operators and logistics firms.
Piaggio Vehicles and Euler Motors Drive Mid-Segment Performance
Piaggio Vehicles secured the fourth spot, selling 287 units and accounting for 11.83% of the market. Known for its versatile electric Ape lineup, Piaggio continues to be a trusted name in the goods transport category. Euler Motors followed with 143 units sold, claiming 5.89% market share, underlining its focus on high-performance electric cargo vehicles.
Kinetic Green and E Royce Among Emerging Players
Kinetic Green and E Royce Motors contributed 120 units (4.94%) and 167 units (6.88%) respectively, representing a growing interest in alternative players bringing innovative and accessible EV options for small businesses and urban logistics.
Others Account for Over 16%
A significant 402 units were sold by various smaller and regional players, collectively accounting for 16.57% of the total market. This indicates a healthy level of fragmentation and competitive diversity in the sector.
