India will soon see the return of the Tesla

Elon Musk confirms that Tesla will be coming to India soon

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today met with Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and owner of Twitter, at the start of his landmark three-day state visit to the United States. “I’m a Modi fan,” Musk told reporters after the meeting.

Musk expressed his happiness and impression of meeting with the prime minister again. He said that the meeting with him was great and he liked him very much. He also added that PM visited their factory a few years ago, so they have known each other for some time. “I am very excited about India’s future. I believe India has greater potential than any other major country in the world,” Musk stated.

When the prime minister visited the Tesla Motors factory in California in 2015, he had the opportunity to meet Musk.

Asked about Tesla’s India schedule, Musk said, “I’m confident Tesla will be in India as soon as possible.”

“Prime Minister Modi has encouraged us to invest heavily in India and we tend to do the same, so we care about India. We need to find the right time. In addition to that, the Twitter Chief added that the prime minister wants to do the right thing for India, he wants to be open to businesses and support them, and at the same time, he also wants it to be profitable for India as well.

Musk was asked whether automakers were interested in the Indian market in an interview with The Wall Street Journal. “Of course,” he replied.

As soon as PM Narendra Modi met with Mr. Musk, he wrote on his Twitter account that it was a pleasure to meet him. He also wrote that they had various discussions on topics ranging from energy to spirituality during their meeting. As a result, Musk has replied that it was an honor to meet Modi again, and he is looking forward to the future.

The prime minister acknowledged Musk’s efforts to make technology accessible and affordable in all areas. He invited Musk to explore investment opportunities in India’s electric mobility and commercial space sectors. The prime minister visited the United States on Tuesday morning as a state guest of honor prepared by Washington, D.C. for its closest allies. Highlights of the prime minister’s itinerary include speaking at a joint session of Congress. He also meets with business leaders and expatriates in India, and a state dinner with US President Joe Biden at the White House.
