Bids invited for EV supply equipment for Kochi water metro
The Kerala government has invited bids for electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) for its water metro project in Kochi, Kerala. In that regard, the bids have been invited by the Kerala government. The Kochi Metro Rail Limited has formed a special purpose vehicle (SPV) between the central government and the Kerala government.

The tender includes the scope of work such as design, supply, delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning of EVSE including related infrastructure for the water metro project.
The bidders are also responsible for the design, engineering, testing of manufacturer’s works, procurement, quality assurance, packing, erection in which it includes performance testing, and commissioning of fast charging DC EV charging stations with the capacity of 150 kW with CCS2 gun.
German funding agency KFW and the Kerala government will fund this project. The bidders can submit their bids till February 22, 2021, the last date of submission of the bids is February 22, 2021. The pre-bid meeting will be held on January 20 and the bids will be opened on February 24. Interested bidders will have to submit an amount of ₹1.75 million as the earnest money deposit.
Two days ago, Singapore’s Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) and Land Transport Authority have announced a pilot tender to set up charging stations for electric vehicles at public car parks in the city-state. The bids can be submitted till March 12, 2021, and the successful bidders will have to EV charging stations at their allocated car parks by the third quarter of 2022.
