Volkswagen ID.4 electric SUV
The Volkswagen ID.4 electric SUV is all set to follow the launch of ID.3 electric later this year. The leaked images have revealed the key details about the upcoming electric SUV. Volkswagen showcased the I.D. Crozz at the 2020 Auto Expo in February this year. the company will launch the production version ID.4 in India by 2021.
The new electric SUV will be produced in two different versions – ID.4 Crozz and ID.4X. The two versions of the SUV are different from each other in terms of LED head optics and rear lights, the design of the bumpers and the decorative exterior elements.
Volkswagen ID.4 electric SUV features
While looking at its stunning features the models are similar to the ID.3 models 2765 mm. The length of the ID.4 Crozz is 4592 mm and ID.4X is 4612 mm. The ID.4 electric crossover is a combination of dynamic lines of a modern-day sports car with all-terrain off-roader. ID.4 will be 4,592mm long, 1,852mm wide and 1,629mm tall.
According to the Volkswagen’s chief operating officer, Ralf Brandstatter, initially, it will be sold with a single electric motor and rear-wheel drive, with a powerful twin-motor, four-wheel-drive layout set to be offered within the first 12 months of sales.

If we look at its technical specifications, the ID.4 will offer a range of different battery options, the expected and rumoured is 83kWh unit, will offer a range of up to 500km on the WLTP test cycle. It also has a fast-charging option that will allow its battery to be charged to 80 per cent within 30mins on a 125-150kW system.
