The new transport minister of Andhra Pradesh, Perni Nani announced today in a press meet that it will launch 350 e-buses in 5 Cities of Andhra Pradesh.
The State’s 5 cities include Vishakapatanam, Kakinada, Amaravathi, Vijayawada, and Tirupati.
Electric buses will soon launch after receiving the Central government support through subsidies under the FAME II scheme said Perni Nani.
Currently, the APSRTC (Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation) is facing a huge loss as the hike in diesel prices. Almost 6,445 Crore spent for purchasing diesel.
This is the main reason, the AP government is looking forward to opt for electric vehicles.
